PIN access, courier whitelisting, audit trails, CCTV integration. Here's the security stack every modern food delivery system should ship with — and what to ask vendors before signing.

    Authentication

One-time PINs or QR codes for residents. Verified courier accounts with whitelisting and blacklisting. No shared codes, no reusable credentials.

    Auditability

Every drop-off, pickup, override and cleaning event written to an immutable log with timestamp and operator ID. Operators should be able to reconstruct any delivery in under 60 seconds.

    Physical hardening

Steel construction, anti-pry hinges, tamper sensors, UPS-backed locks. Lockers should fail closed, not open, on power loss.

    Vendor checklist

    • GDPR-compliant data handling
    • ISO-aligned cloud infrastructure
    • Open API for SIEM/audit integration
    • Documented incident response process
    • Configurable retention policies
